Jill Ryan is the Morning Edition producer and field correspondent with NPR-affiliate KJZZ Public Radio in Phoenix. She also is a faculty associate at Arizona State University, with teaching experiences in required courses such as multimedia journalism and sports multimedia journalism. She will also be teaching an intro to journalism class in the Spring 2024 semester. She has been invited to guest lecture on multiple occasions for the Dow Jones News Fund, to teach about audio storytelling and editing.

She has also been a guest lecturer in a gradate level class at the the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

Ryan graduated in December, 2020 with a MA in Investigative Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. She was also a morning reporter with NPR-affiliated KJZZ Public Radio in Phoenix. She was a Research Associate for the Knight-Cronkite News Lab, working under Andrew Heyward.

In May, 2019, Ryan received her BA in Journalism at Stony Brook University School of Journalism. Previously, she worked as a News Fellow at NPR-affiliated WSHU Public Radio, an intern for Newsday and an intern at WSHU. Ryan reported from Cuba in 2018 as a part of her journalism studies.

Ryan is skilled in radio, podcast, print, broadcast, photography and multimedia journalism.
